Additionally, a handful of Sky Blue – NYSC members have made commitments to play college soccer in the fall of 2018.
A total of 108 games will kick off the opening weekend of the Girls’ Academy, which launches to bring the development initiative to female youth players after 10 years of success with the Boys’ Academy. The Girls’ Academy is part of U.S. Soccer’s global leadership position in women’s soccer and connects with its long-term plan to improve player and coach development. The mission of the program is to provide education, resources and support to directly impact the everyday environment for clubs to develop world-class female players. Girls’ Academy games will be scouted by U.S. Soccer, and the program will serve as the top female program for soccer players in the country, providing a direct pathway to U.S. Soccer Youth National Teams.
