A Letter To Our Fans

To our Sky Blue Family,

Like you, we find ourselves dealing with issues we could not have imagined previously. We know how much happiness and joy the game of soccer brings to our lives, but since news of COVID-19 first broke, we’ve had to make decisions that act in the best interest and health of our players, staff, fans, and the greater community. 

We are proud of the National Women’s Soccer League for their proactive approach and are taking our guidance from government, medical and league officials. Our players are anxious to get back on the field, and when it is safe that’s exactly what will happen.

We are grateful for the immense amount of support and care our fans have expressed for our players and staff during these unprecedented times. We all must play a role (while practicing social distancing!) in helping protect the health and well-being of our communities. 

We fully support the league’s decision to cancel preseason matches and delay the start of season, and at the league’s direction, we have suspended all training sessions through April 5. All club staff has been instructed to work from home until further notice, although we continue to remain engaged and working towards creative solutions to remain in touch with fans.

We also want to assure our fans that when games are rescheduled, all ticket sales for those games will be honored.

We cannot wait to see you all at Red Bull Arena this season, but only when it is safe and responsible to do so.
