Sky Blue FC Champion Women Nominees are selected based on their contributions to their local community and to those around them, and to their dedication in being a Champion Woman, day in and day out!

2020 Champion Women Day Honorees

For Sky Blue FC’s 2020 Champion Women Day, the nominees were recognized on various digital platforms throughout our #StayHome Gameday on June 13.

Denise Wilson runs a girl’s soccer program at Chelsea Piers. She was nominated by Gabe Boyar for the mentorship she provided to Boyar’s daughter & for changing the kid’s lives who played club soccer for her. 

Elisabeth R. Ulmer is a Associate Immigration Attorney at Hogan & Vandenberg LLC, specializing in Deportation Defense & litigation on Asylum cases. She was nominated for leading with humility, kindness, & compassion & working tirelessly to help achieve goals.

Megan McDowell is the founder of Heartworks. She was nominated for bringing together women to help & inspire others in the community. Heartworks is a local movement of women committed to replicating & sustaining the palpable kindness witnessed in the wake after September 11.
