BIO: Estelle Johnson began her professional soccer career in 2010 when she was selected by the Los Angeles Sol in the WPS Draft. Following the Sol’s folding, Johnson joined the Philadelphia Independence where she appeared in 16 matches. In her sophomore season with the Independence she scored one goal in 17 appearances and played in the 2011 WPS Championship Match. After the WPS folded, Johnson split her 2012 year with the New York Fury of the WPSL-Elite and Sydney FC of Australia’s W-League. 

In 2013 Johnson joined the NWSL as a member of the Western New York Flash, playing in all 22 games and clocking more minutes (1,980) than any other player on the roster. Johnson did not play in 2014 and was traded to the Washington Spirit prior to the start of the 2015 Season. In her four seasons with the Spirit, Johnson Totaled 71 appearances and two goals. In addition, she was named the Washington Spirit’s 2018 Defender of the Year.
